Ultramar transport around five million passengers a year between the Mexican mainland and the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres. The operator’s modern vessels shuttle tourists and locals to all of the popular hot spots along the south east coast of the country.

On the route sailing between Playa del Carmen and Cozumel there are as many as 18 departures each way, with ferries leaving every hour. Passengers will have a huge range of options if travelling between Cancún and Isla Mujeres, with services from the early hours of the morning until late at night. There’s a choice of four destinations in Cancún’s Hotel Zone at Puerto Juárez, Playa Tortugas, El Embarcadero and Playa Caracol, all linking with the beautiful island destination.

Ultramar’s fleet consists of modern, state of the art vessels. These range from smaller ships with the capability to carry 150 passengers, to their flagship which can carry up to 800 travellers and has air conditioning, covered and open air decks, panoramic windows, a children's play area, TV screens, a snack bar, electrical power outlets, live music, underwater illumination and new generation gangways for express boarding.
